Barbara Samples
, BA, C-TAGME
Senior Residency Program Specialist
Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry

My experience of over twenty years in healthcare brought me to the WVU Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry Department in November 2008. I am a native West Virginian and a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University. I truly enjoy the friendly and professional atmosphere in working with the residents, faculty, and staff. Each day brings new experiences working with residents and I take great pride in being a part of their lives watching them as they grow in their residency to become wonderful, caring psychiatrists.

My husband and I have two sons and one grandson and we enjoy all outdoor sports. We especially enjoy biking and hiking in Wild Wonderful West Virginia and watching the Mountaineers. We are both active in the Kanawha City Church of Christ and members of the Hurricane Disaster Relief Team. I look forward to new and exciting adventures that each day brings as a senior residency program specialist.
