Andy R. Tanner, DO


Andy R. Tanner, DO is a native of Vienna, West Virginia. He graduated from Marshall University in 1990 with a BS in Cytotechnology. He worked in a medical lab in Huntington for 5 years before entering medical school. He graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999 and completed the Osteopathic Internship and Family Medicine Residency Program at Charleston Area Medical Center. After graduation in 2002, Dr. Tanner joined the faculty as an assistant professor. In 2005, he became Program Director for the Osteopathic Family Medicine Program. Dr. Tanner is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He has completed a medical mission trip to Haiti and served as the WVU faculty representative for fourth year medical students during a mission trip to Peru. During his time away from the office, Dr. Tanner enjoys traveling, gardening and estate sales.
