Misty Hodel , RN
Residency Coordinator, Internal Medicine

I started with West Virginia University Physicians of Charleston in November 2007 as the Clinical Coordinator for the Medicine and Specialty Office.  After almost 2 years at the clinic, I took the management position at the new WVUPC Cardiology and Electrophysiology office where I served until February 2010 when I became the Internal Medicine Residency Coordinator.
Before coming to WVUPC, I graduated from the University of Charleston where I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  I worked as an RN at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Unit, the Mother and Baby Unit, and the Gynecological Unit.  And, while I am proud of earning both my RN and BSN, earning my MOM has been one of my greatest achievements.
In September 2009, my husband, Bart and I welcomed our first born, Maxwell Isaiah into our lives.  In our spare time, we enjoy being with family and friends and watching Maxwell grow!
Working as the Internal Medicine Residency Coordinator allows me to combine my love for healthcare education and my experience on the clinical side.  I take great satisfaction in being able to participate in the educational success of the residents.
