Benjamin Dyer, MD


A native of Barboursville, WV, Dr. Dyer completed his undergraduate education in 2000 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in biochemistry. He graduated from the Joan C. Edward School of Medicine at Marshall University in 2004 completed his residency training here at CAMC in 2009. He went on to do a colorectal surgery fellowship at Grant Medical Center before returning as faculty member in 2010. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colorectal Surgery. Dr. Dyer’s area of interest includes postgraduate education. His wife, Amanda, graduated in nursing from West Virginia University, and they have two children, Addison and Gus.

In his free time, Dr. Dyer enjoys riding horses and spending time with his family on their farm.
